"Gary, get in the ATV. I'm taking you up to meet the man who found the infamous Ground Zero Cross." And so off I went, up the muddy hill to meet Frank Silecchia, a laborer with local 731. On the third day after the attacks, Frank discovered an enormous iron cross sticking out of the rubble. This cross has since been erected at Ground Zero and brings hope to all at the site. Frank is not only a big man physically, but big in heart & spirit. It's downright inspiring to speak with him and you can feel the spirit of God at work within him. Frank said to me, "Touching people's hearts is the most amazing thing about finding the Cross. We should not forget our faith. On that terrible day of September 11th, God asked for 3,000 angels - And got them..."
