I was in an area near the 1/9 Cortlandt Street subway when many recoveries started. That is a successful day, believe it or not, when you can find victims and bring them home. The steel beams near us were all marked "0110", meaning they were from the 110th floor, top of the South Tower. I saw this fireman begin scaling a dirt sidewall filled with cables and what not, looking for victims. He had no harness - so I figured he was either crazy or a rock climber. His name is Gibby and he IS a rock climber in his spare time. The beam he is leaning on was from the roof of the South Tower. Thanks for your efforts, Gibby.
