"And how are you doing, Gary?" A question I often hear. Well, when I see images like this and I have to shoot them in a way that conveys emotion, naturally, I am emotional. But in this photo, I refuse to see hate. I only see love. 2 minutes before a preacher, small in stature but big in heart, leans over a hero to say prayer with 6 fireman nearby - he pauses to find his verse in his Bible. He lowers his arm & with his finger as a book marker, he waits for the Chief to order the beginning of the private prayer. If you are starting to feel what I felt at Ground Zero, then you are starting to understand how love and brotherhood dominates the 17-acre site.
